Washing Machine Issues?

Handy tips!

It is good practice every few months to run a hot wash with no clothes or detergent in the washing machine. Use the hottest setting on the washing machine – around 90 degrees. It can be good to do this with a washing machine cleaner which is relatively low cost, it will help to keep the build-up of grime at bay and eliminate bad odour.

The filter on a washing machine can collect all sorts of things like buttons, lint and face masks. This can cause a number of problems for the washing machine and your washing inside.

This can be the reason your clothes don’t smell clean, or if they come out marked, or if the machine isn’t draining properly leaving your clothes soaking wet at the end of the cycle. (we recommend washing small items like a face mask inside a sock or wash bag)

Please check out the step by step guide on how to open and empty/clean the filter. Maybe have a towel handy – just in case.

Every washing machine is different and some filters are harder to locate. You should be able to find a Youtube video if you search for the make and model of your machine.

If you have emptied the filter and this still doesn’t rectify the issues you’re having please let the team in the office know.
