Parking in Lincoln

Information on the range of parking options available in Lincoln

Certain locations in Lincoln City Centre require on street parking permits which are subject to Lincoln City Council charges and terms and conditions. Other areas have free on street parking or purpose built blocks such as Brayford Court & Grantavon House have no parking permits available. If parking is essential you must check it is available before signing your Tenancy Agreement.

Where parking permits are required, the Council currently advise each household is limited to a maximum of two permits which can comprise of a mixture of visitor and resident permit types. Properties with two or more people not living as one household should apply for a resident in Houses in Multiple Occupation permit.
 

West End

Parking permits are applicable to all streets in the West End. They are controlled by the City of Lincoln Council. To apply for a permit click here. Usually permit bays are free to park in without a permit from 6pm - 8am Monday - Saturday (free on Sundays). There are various 2 hour bays in the area which can be handy for visitors. Always check the sign  in the marked bay is correct for your permit or time restriction before leaving your car. 
 

High Street & Sincil Bank

High Street & Sincil Bank comprises of a mixture of parking permits and free on street parking. Parking permits are applicable to all streets in the Sincil Bank area. A full list of street can be found here. They are controlled by the City of Lincoln Council. Uphill & Monks Road 

Uphill & Monks Road comprises of a mixture of parking permits and free on street parking. To check your street click here. If you are parking in a marked bay, please ensure you check the restrictions on the signage in the area. To apply for a permit with the City of Lincoln Council click here

Vistor Scatch Cards in Resident Parking Permit Areas

Each property in the residents parking scheme is entitled to purchase a maximum of 10 books of parking scratch-cards within a 12 month period.  Each of these books contain 10 parking scratch-cards, each scratch-card is valid for one day only.  Any resident living at the property can purchase these scratch-cards and will have to provide proof of living at the property, normally a tenancy agreement.To apply click here.
