Waste Disposal

Black bins or purple sacks are for general domestic waste that cannot be recycled. All residents are asked to think carefully about if the waste they are disposing of could be recycled before putting waste in the black or purple sacks. Please do not dispose of batteries or electrical items in the black bin.

Brown bins or a black box is for recycling materials only, and can take all of the following items; paper, card, glass, cans, plastic bottles, beverage cartons, this is not an exhaustive list, check here if you are not sure. All residents are entitled to leave any additional recycling next to your brown bin on collection day.  The collection crew must clearly be able to see the waste is recycling so please ensure it is left in clear or white bags.

It is important not to leave additional waste outside of the property as it will be likely to attract unwanted pests.

Unless you have a valid collection sticker on your green bin you must not use it.
